I use these in a bunch of my tunes.. I use it in Empress, The Essence , Black Garden and so on. I love the sound of the mode, it has a happy feel to it.

I called this playing with myself lol... because it is a cool exercise for you to do. Take the open low E and kind of drone it and then use the shapes of the mode to improvise. This helps your ear get use to the sound of the mode. Once you get the mixo down then do it with the other modes and drone off of the Low E string but now use Lydian and then do Dorian and so on.
